Nova Ventures is a successor corporation to Nova-Habitat, Inc., a 26-year old diversified development organization that is based in Chevy Chase, Maryland.  Since its inception in 1992, Nova’s mission has been to acquire and redevelop complicated, challenging, and underutilized properties in the Washington DC metro area with a focus on quality site planning, urban design, and architecture.  In every project that we undertake, we emphasize working collaboratively with our immediate neighbors, local community groups, and our planning and regulatory officials.  Our dedication to this endeavor has resulted in a great reputation for completing challenging projects that contribute to and enhance the urban fabric of the community where our projects are located.  Our past projects have been awarded distinction from the Urban Land Institute, the American Institute of Architects, and have been publicly lauded by planning officials throughout the region.

Nova Ventures has developed projects with a combined total value of approximately $300,000,000 over its history.  These projects have been financed and developed with a variety of investment and joint venture equity partners and lenders.  Over its 26-year history, Nova Ventures has never been forced to terminate or withdraw from any development project or purchase contract due to a lack of financial capability to perform its obligations.  Nova regularly forms joint venture teams with private equity investment groups or partners to complete full acquisition and redevelopment of large scale, multi-faceted land development projects.

Nova Ventures is capable of developing a wide variety of product types.  We have established a substantial portfolio of redevelopment projects that span the spectrum from single-family townhouse, condominium, and multifamily residential, to senior independent and assisted living, to large-scale mixed use land redevelopments.  We have experience in both for-profit projects with private equity investment and affordable development projects with state and local public financing.  We utilize a talented pool of principals and experienced development professionals that can focus on accomplishing numerous development projects at any given time.
